Realizations

I love sitting back and taking a look at myself, and who I am, what my quirks are.  It sometimes makes me laugh, it sometimes makes me realize if I'm doing something harmful, and sometimes, it's very self-rewarding.

A few realizations I've had in the past little while:

  • When I don't want to forget something, I write it on my hand in pen.
  • I will do all the laundry, fold it, and then leave it in piles on the spare bed for days.
  • I've grown into someone who likes pretty dresses for work instead of pants.
  • I always feel the need to be doing something with my hands (idle hands are the devil's..something...)
  • I hate having a messy apartment.
  • I feel so much more self-confident now than I ever have in my life.
  • I hate the color olive-green.
  • I want a baby, but I'm terrified of how to entertain it.
  • I like sexy nighties from La Senza, but because they are comfortable ;)
  • Ryan can crack me up, even when I'm upset or really angry at something
  • I really am a shopoholic...I think I need an intervention new pair of shoes
Coming to realize these things have made me laugh, cringe, and sometimes stress me out.  But I am who I am.  And that's Leslie :)  Love me or leave me.

...wait don't leave me...I need shopping partners friends!

Oh, I am so the same way with laundry. Then, I end up digging through piles and everything gets unfolded before I even put it away! Ack... glad to know I`m not alone. ;)

I love your dresses. In my 'next' fashion life (ie. post nursing/chasing young kids :) I want to be a dress wearer.

Here's my thoughts on the "entertaining the baby" one, such as they are:

Babies will tell you how to entertain them. It's a no-brainer. And they're easily entertained. You figure out that for some reason they're onto rattles for a day or two, and those next few days you provide them various things to shake. Like, er, rattles! In my case I discovered that almost anything that makes noise when you shake it will work. Like an eye-and-hook (hardware) package I had.

Then when they start crawling, the mere act of crawling entertains them.

I feel like the laziest bugger, never coming up with creative ways to entertain my little guy. But really, he just tells us how he feels, and we roll with it. It's not hard, and don't let it stress you. It's easy. The more likely scenario is that you find the one or two things that entertain the baby will keep them going, while YOU get bored. You'll invent things to do just to keep YOURSELF entertained. ;-)

Oh, and olive green is awesome.
