Solo for a Week

It's not often I am alone for a day, let alone a week! My boyfriend Ryan & I have been living together for over 2 years, so we're together before & after work, and on weekends. Of course we both have our time with friends, at the gym, at work, but we're a very close couple, so it's not like we're not together when we're apart.

Ryan is leaving tomorrow morning for a solo ski trip out west. He's really excited about going skiing in Banff, and doing some sight seeing as well. I just couldn't take the time off work right now just after the holidays, so I'll be staying at home.

Which brings me to the point of my post: what am I going to do while Ryan is away?!

Mani/Pedi
My feet will be happy and I'll have pretty nails to look at while I type!!

Massage
I haven't had a massage in over a year!...how sad

Eye Exam
My eyesight has changed drastically in the past year, so time to get them tested, and perhaps get myself a sexy pair of glasses!

Gym

I'm training to run the 10k in the Ottawa Race Weekend in May, so I'll be off to fight the newbies

Ikea

A girlfriend of mine refuses to go to Ikea without me, I can get in & out in 25 minutes! Plus, I have a plan to re-do our bedroom set while Ryan is away...shhhh...secret!

Lunch with my parents
Sometimes a girl just needs to have a little mommy & daddy time!

Rent Chick Flicks
We get 50% off on-demand movies, so I'm going to take advantage!

Finish Portfolio
I'm in the Top 10 Community Relations Coordinator of the Year for Boston Pizza International, and am submitting my portfolio next Tuesday for a hopeful win! I won't find out until March, so you'll have to keep all your fingers and toes crossed for me until then :)

And last but not least, miss my man. Although my heart aches when he is away, and vice-versa, it's good for any relationship to have that feeling of missing your significant other.
Reminds us of all the little things that we love so much in the other.

...I hope he brings me a present...
