C25K!

I am a self-proclaimed junk food aholic, couch potato, who really, when gets tired, does NOT want to do anything.

I try to eat healthy...I really do. But I am a 26 year old woman, who works 40+ hours a week in Canada's #1 Casual Dining Restaurant, otherwise known at Boston Pizza....and I eat for free everyday. Every single day, I say, I am going to have grilled chicken with spinach salad or just a bowl of soup with 1 piece of toast....and I NEVER end up eating that.

I also have a Goodlife Fitness membership...I pay every month...do I go? No. I did...for about a week.

Okay, so here's my problem. I'm lazy. And I know it.

A girlfriend of mine started this C25K program - Couch to 5km run. Interval training by podcasts where this awesome girl @suzdawg (twitter!) puts some fun music together, and tells you when to walk and when to run. Seems easy right? Holy moly. After my 5th x 60 second run I was dripping with sweat. And in 9 weeks, I'm supposed to be able to run 5km in 30 minutes? Oh boy...time for some protein! Follow @MyoPrecision for personal training and nutrition advice as well!

So my plan is to do this C25K training, and run at least the 5km in the National Capital Race Weekend in Ottawa. Over the winter I will be training at the gym - I've taken some "Before" pictures, and was shocked - YUCK. Pinning them up on the fridge and putting it on my Blackberry will hopefully motivate me a little bit more!

As a short-term goal (the race weekend is my long term goal) I hope to be down a dress size for my boyfriend Ryan's National Press Gallery dinner in the middle of October. He's paying for dinner, so I get to go by a swanky new dress at my favorite place to buy dresses - Le Chateau!!

Overall goal - look good, feel great, be healthier!!!

Wish me luck!
Leslie
